ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2017G2 eliminate Renegades from ELEAGUE Premier
G2 are through to the decider match of ELEAGUE Premier's Group A after defeating Renegades 2-0 (16-9 on Mirage and 16-2 on Nuke).
The clash between G2 and Renegades kicked off on the latter's pick, Mirage. The Frenchmen picked up the Counter-Terrorist pistol round with a clean retake in B, and they followed that up with seven more rounds to secure a clean 8-0 lead.
Then, Renegades picked up their first round of the game after Kenny "kennyS" Schrub could not defuse the bomb in time. Still, the Australians had very few reasons to celebrate as they would only be able to get two more rounds before the end of the half.
Double-kills from Justin "jks" Savage and Noah "Nifty" Francis helped Renegades secure the second pistol round of the game. The Australian team went on to win the next four rounds, reducing the deficit to 12-8, but from that point on G2 were in command as they won four of the next five rounds to take the map, 16-9.
Starting out as Terrorists on Nuke, G2 secured a quick 5-0 lead. As Renegades were unable to respond, Richard "shox" Papillon's men continued to rack up rounds, eventually increasing their lead to 12-0.
The Australians still picked up two rounds before the end of the first half, but they knew they had a mountain to climb to turn the game around. G2 did not let a comeback happen, though, and took three rounds straight at the beginning of the second half to close out the map, 16-2.
