eXtatus win Cross Border Esport

The tournament in Denmark started out with eight groups of three teams, of which the top two moved on to a round of sixteen single bracket playoff. There, teams like EnVyUs Academy, Singularity, Tricked, eXtatus, or North Academy were fighting for a spot in the final.

On their way to the final, eXtatus beat Renato "⁠nak⁠" Nakano's Sharks, as well as Matthieu "⁠matHEND⁠" Roquigny and Simon "⁠Fuks⁠" Florysiak' ARES. On the other side of the bracket, Tricked beat the likes of Fragsters and one of the favorite teams in the tournament, North Academy.

Finally, though, it was eXtatus who raised the trophy and took home the lion's share of the prize pool, breezing past Tricked in two maps, Inferno (16-9) and Mirage (16-4), in large part thanks to the play of the young star David "⁠frozen⁠" Čerňanský, who at the end of the match had a 1.71 rating, +26 KDR, and 109 ADR.
