Liquid see off VP in New York

Liquid have eliminated Virtus.pro at ESL One New York after beating the Poles 2-1 (16-10 on Inferno, 6-16 on Nuke, and 16-5 on Mirage).

Liquid took on Virtus.pro in the Group B elimination match at ESL One New York. Inferno was the first map in the best-of-three series and Virtus.pro started on the CT-side on the map.

Jarosław "⁠pashaBiceps⁠" Jarząbkowski and Wiktor "⁠TaZ⁠" Wojtas won a 2vs3 post-plant in the pistol round and the Polish team went on to win the first five rounds of the map. Liquid responded with six rounds of their own and then led 9-6 at halftime.

Liquid stay alive

Over on the CT-side, Peter "⁠stanislaw⁠" Jarguz secured the pistol round with a triple kill to extend "⁠⁠" 's lead to 10-6. Liquid won the first weapon round with stanislaw's 1vs2 clutch, making it 13-6. Russel "⁠Twistzz⁠" Van Dulken's ace ended the game in Liquid's favor (16-10).

Just like on Inferno, Virtus.pro won the first five rounds on Nuke, but this time they did so on the T-side. Liquid won three rounds in a row to answer but Virtus.pro led 10-5 at halftime. Virtus.pro closed it out quickly, winning 16-6 and taking the match to the third map.

VP get another disappointing result

Liquid won the first nine rounds on the CT-side on Mirage. Although Virtus.pro got their first round on the board in the tenth round, they couldn't start a streak and trailed 2-13 at halftime.

Liquid won the map 16-5 and series 2-1, eliminating Virtus.pro in the group stage in New York. Liquid will face Astralis in the Group B decider match.

OK VP officially died! they were known as the NA Killers but now not even that stands. I don't get it their Nuke is so good, but why couldn't they transfer the form into Mirage?!
