Cloud9 move past NiP at ELEAGUE

Cloud9 won their opening match at ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier, defeating NiP 16-6 on Mirage.

William "⁠draken⁠" Sundin opened up the match on Mirage with an explosive 4K on the pistol round, shutting down Cloud9's connector push to get his team off to a good start. After taking the hit and ecoing, Cloud9 were able to establish themselves, with their late A approach working wonders two rounds in a row to break the Swedes' economy.

With just an AWP and four pistols, Ninjas in Pyjamas secured their fourth round, but Tarik "⁠tarik⁠" Celik and co. and kept control and bounced straight back in the following one. Jake "⁠Stewie2K⁠" Yip picked up three kills in round 11, slicing open the Ninjas defenses and infiltrating the CT spawn to push his side even further in the lead.

Cloud9 are on to the winner's match

After finishing the first half 10-5 up, Cloud9 extended their lead by winning the pistol in which Tyler "⁠Skadoodle⁠" Latham picked up a triple with the USP-S, shutting down Ninjas in Pyjamas's attack on B. Richard "⁠Xizt⁠" Landström's team won the first buy despite Cloud9 having a good opening to the round, but no momentum could be built thanks to Skadoodle's display with the Deagle on B which won his side the force buy.

At 14-6, Ninjas in Pyjamas were forced into a desperate buy, which Cloud9 dealt with easily to close out the game 16-6 in the end.
