OpTic and CLG to iBP Masters 2017

Two more teams that will compete at iBUYPOWER Masters 2017 have been revealed as OpTic and CLG received invitations.

Orange County, California, USA will host the $100,000 event on the eleventh and twelfth of November.

The tournament will feature eight teams, two of which were announced earlier as Liquid, who occupy #6 spot in the ranking, and Cloud9, who are currently the eighth placed squad.

mixwell & co. will be in Santa Ana for iBP Masters

Now the event organizers have revealed that the recently-formed roster of OpTic and Kenneth "⁠koosta⁠" Suen's CLG will be joining the team list, leaving only four spots available.

Liquid C9 OpTic and CLG are all competition for SK. CLG are only competition because CLG seem to hard anti-strat SK and seem to be able to pull maps from under them.

My fellow American brother, I seem to find you on every thread lol <3. Current Liquid, yeah, they could probably put up a helluva match. But idk about C9. I don't know if Tarik would be able to match Fallen's level of strats/anti-strats. And with CLG, they did pull off that miracle win against them in Pro League, so I guess it's possible

You won't always need to match a team on a tactical basis. CLG are a more tactical team than Immortals, but Immortals laughed at every strat FNS did as they shut him down every time. C9 can beat SK if they all play at AT LEAST 70 percent, which is pretty doable. I think their AVERAGE game won't beat SK, but it will make it a competitive game. Remember, competition doesn't always mean teams that will beat you. It can be in the form of teams that will make you sweat.

I love this guy. He actually uses his brain to come up with words, uses his words, and so far it hasn't been in a disrespectful way. Yeah, I suppose you're right. I just think of teams like LDLC going against G2. Obviously, the skill gap is enormous, but ex6tenz can still pull some badass strat out of the bag and wreck them, at least in one round. Or even Gambit this past major. IMT are arguably better than Gambit, but they still won, largely in part to Zeus.
