NRG add RIKO; daps becomes the team's coach

Damian "daps" Steele announced that he would be stepping down from an active playing position, switching to the coaching role. To fill in for the Canadian, NRG will trial Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce.

In his short announcement on Twitter, Damian "⁠daps⁠" Steele stated that he is "excited for this to finally happen", hinting that the move away from playing is something that the Canadian has been thinking about for a while.

daps first came to prominence while playing alongside Shahzeb "⁠ShahZaM⁠" Khan and Jacob "⁠FugLy⁠" Medina in Denial, with a 2-0 win over Cloud9 at the ESEA Season 17 LAN Finals being the team's break-out performance. After that, the in-game leader played in a multitude of different teams such as Liquid, Conquest, OpTic and finally NRG.

daps moves to a coaching role

The Canadian's fragging output hasn't too impressive for a while now, which probably lead to his departure from the active roster. Replacing him is Dylan "⁠RIKO⁠" Sabin-Arnce who represented both Denial and Swole Patrol in recent times, and is added to the team on a trial basis.

RIKO already had his debut for NRG in the Closed Qualifier for the Americas Minor, finishing with a 22-12 K-D in a 16-4 win over Beacon.

NRG now have the following roster:

Oh for FUCKS sake we just lost an IGL that we didn't have. Now all we have is FNS Slemmy seangares and stanislaw. And seangares doesn't want to travel frequently anymore apparently. So we only have three real IGLs in NA. Kill me.

It's a combination of him, stan, and zews. And stanislaw is a known IGL who has seen success with his in game leading. nitr0 has a LONG way to go before anyone ever suggests him based on his in game leading prowess, if he even IGLs for that long..
