The Swiss closed qualifier came to an end with the last three teams, eXtatus, GODSENT, and PRIDE rounding up the team list at the Europe Minor, taking place from November 2-5.

In the last round of the Swiss closed qualifier, Binary Dragons took on GODSENT on Mirage. The first half saw the Swedes grab 13 rounds, leaving little room for error for the Balkan squad, who tried to fight back on the offense but inevitably fell to the favorites at 9-16.

eXtatus and HEROIC battled on Inferno, where the Danes were off to a good start as Terrorists, leading 7-1, but Richard "⁠queztone⁠" Strnátko & co. ended up securing the last seven for an 8-7 half. A forceful offense from eXtatus then completed the 16-10 upset, locking their spot at the Minor.

MINISE's PRIDE upset NiP to lock a spot at the Minor

Ninjas in Pyjamas were up against the ropes versus PRIDE on Cache, as the Poles went 12-3 on their Terrorist side. The Swedish side fought back, reaching a 13-14 scoreline, but Jacek "⁠MINISE⁠" Jeziak's squad finished them off with two rounds in a row, as Ninjas in Pyjamas failed to make it to the Minor for the second time in a row.

With the last three teams rounding up the team list, here are the eight teams who will travel to Bucharest at the beginning of November:

Literally the only one still worth a jar of dirt between those three is f0rest. If heaton cares about his beloved NiP brand, in a country with as much young CS talent as Sweden, GTR and Xizt should definitely have their deadlines coming if they don't improve

I agree, thats why I asked if it was bait when he said f0rest should retire or if he is just stupid. Personally I think GTR still has it as well but obviously between them and the NiP brand there is too much pressure surrounding the majors. Either they need a miracle or a proper shuffle.

They are so delusional. Yes, conditions are more simple somewhere (e.g. I don't agree with invite-only China stage), but major spots are limited no matter what, main qualifier is global (you can't make a major directly from your region), and this tournament overall is for the strongest, so thorin and other whiners should stop justify losers.

Expected of Thoorin, probably the biggest retard in the scene. It's no surprise he's not getting hired anymore. And what is nel even on about? First of all, Europe already have more spots than the other continents. What makes him say that the likes of Tyloo, Renegades, ViCi, even Kings wouldn't have easily beaten the likes of Extatus, Pride, ex-Outlaws etc. There is absolutely no ground to base that argument on. And it's not like this is the case only in CS GO, stuff like this happens in every single sport in the world. You can't automatically give 15/16 spots to EU teams. That just doesn't make any sense. Jeez, sometimes the stupidy of some of these so called "experts" really pisses me off.

NiP only have themselves to blame. They got destroyed by a team that subsequently managed to pick up a grand total of 7 rounds against Optic, Pride and Godsent. Hellraisers didn't have luck on their side with 3 close losses, but if you can't even close out matches against Tier 3 opposition, then you don't deserve a place at a major. And Heroic, Moddii went missing in all the 3 matches they lost, niko was godawful in the final match against extatus. Jugi and Snappi can't carry them all the time.
