seized steps down from Na`Vi active roster

Denis "seized" Kostin is no longer part of Natus Vincere's active roster, team coach Mikhaylo "Kane" Blagin has revealed.

According to a post on VK.com, Denis "⁠seized⁠" Kostin is currently inactive, with Spirit Academy member Aleksey "⁠1uke⁠" Zimin set to fill in for the team in their upcoming ESL Pro League matches against North and GODSENT.

seized came close to leaving Natus Vincere in July, when he and Ladislav "⁠GuardiaN⁠" Kovács were both placed on the transfer list, only to return to the team weeks later following Danylo "⁠Zeus⁠" Teslenko' s arrival.

seized becomes inactive

But Na`Vi's results since bringing Zeus back have been far from impressive. A 5th-8th place at DreamHack Masters Malmö was the team's deepest offline run as it was followed by group stage exits at ELEAGUE Premier and at ESL One New York. The most shocking result, however, came in the CIS qualifier for the EPICENTER wildcard stage, in which they were defeated by Vega Squadron in the final.

HLTV.org understands that seized himself requested to be moved to an inactive role, admitting that pressure had taken its toll on him.

seized has been part of Natus Vincere since August 2013, helping the team to two Major finals - losing both - and to win a number of international tournaments, including last year's ESL One New York.

yes. the gambit team was doing bad before the major and the players didn't want kane to coach anymore because of internal problems. zeus told them if Kane leaves he will too. the team said fine you both leave. thats how he decided to get in contact with navi before the major even finished

Yeah you're right, but that's because s1mple is simply a prodigy in this game. I don't think we've ever had a guy who can ultra hard-carry with both rifles and the AWP. But I actually would like to see him back on the rifle, it's just that now that he finally got the role he wanted, Na'Vi shouldn't take it back already. I'd suggest add some solid riflers (some players from Gambit, maybe ANGE1 or electronic if they manage to), and if they still fail and s1mple's AWPing is not effective enough, then maybe they can get an AWPer like mou, which should also work pretty well.

We've had players like s1mple before. Its just hes the only one who has managed to keep his form for so long and even get better. Olof was the same at his prime - rifle, awp, tec9...it didnt matter to him. Niko is kinda similar. The biggest difference is that s1mple is the only superstar who mains the awp and wrecks with anything else. other superstars are mainly riflers who are also good with an awp. It would be sick to get adren onto the team cause he can also both rifle and awp pretty well when needed and then again hobbit is also a good choice but im afraid after how zeus left gambit that noone from there would ever join him again.

Best choices. Ange1 or markeloff. But markeloff will not play with simple. They probably going to pick up some youngster and hope that he will be as good as Hobbit(for example) in future. Can't see NaVi right now in Legend spot in major. If they gonna qualify for major that will be nearly an achievement for them.

Not really. You can't keep blaming everything on S1mple like a mad child. S1mple, despite all his flaws as a person, can still hit shots when it matters. However Seized has been playing horribly for a long time. He ALWAYS chokes when it matters, he can NEVER clutch even if the clutch is relatively easy. When it's down to 1v1 and Seized is the last man standing, you can always count on him to lose. His track record is almost entirely RED from all the negative scores he's had over the past year. It's a wonder he's even remained in Navi for as long as he did, to be honest.
