Richard "shox" Papillon was our next interviewee at EPICENTER 2017 following G2's triumph against Astralis in Group B. The in-game leader talked ELEAGUE Premier playoffs failure, the weeks leading up to the St. Petersburg event, and the Astralis match.

G2 have stepped into EPICENTER with the right foot, defeating Astralis after a close battle on Cache and a one-sided Inferno.

We caught up with Richard "⁠shox⁠" Papillon after the series to find out what had happened at ELEAGUE Premier, where G2 went out in the quarter-finals, and how his confidence as an in-game leader affected the team at the time.

Together with the in-game leader, we naturally also went over G2's win over Astralis with focus on Cache and the difficult start, when Andreas "⁠Xyp9x⁠" Højsleth clutched a 1v4 in the pistol round that led to a 9-2 lead for the Danes.
