EnVyUs beat OpTic to book Major qualifier spot

The opening map of the series, Inferno, began with a successful B execution from Envy, who took control of the site with kills from Christophe "⁠SIXER⁠" Xia and Adil "⁠ScreaM⁠" Benrlitom.

After buying up, OpTic immediately strung five rounds together, putting Envy in danger of getting blown out. What followed was a hectic period of play as the teams kept cancelling each other out, with OpTic getting punished time and time again for their overaggression. The half ended in a close 8-7 scoreline in Envy' favour following a B execution in the final round.

The second half began with a 1v3 clutch from Emil "⁠Magisk⁠" Reif to tie up the score at 8-8. However, OpTic could not follow it up as the Frenchmen hit back immediately, armed with nothing but CZs. That round allowed Envy to gain a crushing control of the economy; any round that went OpTic's way was quickly countered by the CTs, preventing the 'Green Wall' from having a foothold in the game, with Vincent "⁠Happy⁠" Schopenhauer's men locking down the map at 16-10.

EnVyUs are through to the Major qualifier

Map two, Train, started at a frantic pace. Envy took the pistol round with a B retake, only to lose the following round as Aleksi "⁠allu⁠" Jalli picked up a triple kill with an AK in a force-buy. However, momentum would swing back and forth for a while as neither team managed to string more than a couple of rounds together.

Up 6-4, OpTic seemed ready to run away with the lead, but Happy rescued his side with a 1v2 clutch with a CZ. allu came up huge in the following round with another triple kill, restoring a two-round lead and resetting the Frenchmen. Thanks to a triple kill from Cédric "⁠RpK⁠" Guipouy, Envy quickly got back into the game, with the half ending in a close 8-7 scoreline in OpTic's favour following an ace from allu in the final round.

Now playing on the Terrorist side, Envy restored parity at 8-8 with a fast B execution in the pistol round. After losing both eco rounds, OpTic picked up the first gun round with a triple kill from Magisk on the inner site, but the Frenchmen rallied back immediately, resetting the CTs.

Envy continued racking up rounds, with the scoreline blooming to a 14-9 advantage. OpTic then found a way back into the game following a massive blunder from ScreaM, who tagged down his entire team with a grenade thrown in the T spawn. That round sparked a massive run from OpTic, who tied up the score at 14-14, but a stunning triple kill from RpK in an A execution put Envy on match point - an opportunity the Frenchmen did not waste.
