IEM Oakland viewer's guide

With IEM Oakland set to start in less than 24 hours, we have put together a viewer's guide with all the information you need regarding the event.

From tomorrow until Sunday, the tournament will see 12 teams battling it out in Burbank and Oakland for a share of the $300,000 prize-pool, with the champion taking home $125,000.

This will be the fourth event counting for the Intel Grand Slam, which will hand $1 million out to the first team who wins four out of ten $200,000+ competitions.

NiP won last year's edition after beating SK 2-1 in the grand final

Below you can find the group draw for Oakland, which includes Renegades stepping into Immortals' spot:

IEM Oakland will kick off with a best-of-one round-robin group stage, in which the top team from each group will advance directly to the semis, while the second and third placed squads will move through to the quarter-finals.

The groups will be played during the first two days of the event, and it will run with the new point system used in ESL Pro League—two points for winners, one for losers in overtime.

The playoff stage, except the quarter-finals which will be held in Burbank on Thursday, will take place at the Oracle Arena on Saturday and Sunday.

Lol boo!! Rip $40 but it was fun! They had a decent showing. I thought they might get a map at least one. But oh well :) i just like seeing fresh faces in big turnys. Gets stale after awhile. Oh yea final betting odds were 132:1 for mongolz winning it all. So it was worth the risk :)
