BLAST Pro Series viewer's guide

With BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen 2017 set to start tomorrow, we have put together a viewer's guide with all the details you need to know regarding the event.

Running on Friday and Saturday, the $250,000 tournament will feature six teams, who will battle it out in Copenhagen in what will be the first event hosted by RFRSH Entertainment.

All competitors have been invited by RFRSH, with the current No.1 and the No.2 teams in the world, FaZe and SK, headlining the list, which also includes, Astralis, who will be fielding Dennis "⁠dennis⁠" Edman as a stand-in, and IEM Oakland champions Ninjas in Pyjamas.

FaZe will take on NiP in their first match in Copenhagen

The group stage will see the teams face each other in a best-of-one round-robin stage, with the top two making it to the best-of-three grand final. As for the third-place finisher, they will get to pick their opponent to play the $20,000 BLAST Pro Standoffs.

Alex "Machine" Richardson, the Esports Industry Awards' broadcaster of the year, and Sara Frost will host the event, while the likes of Duncan "Thorin" Shields, Janko "⁠YNk⁠" Paunović and Chad "⁠SPUNJ⁠" Burchill will breaking down the action in between matches.

The BLAST Pro Series will also feature three casting pairs, including names such as Anders Blume, Henry "HenryG" Greer, Matthew "Sadokist" Trivett and Vince Hill, as you can see below:

But the teams have known the matches for weeks, so they have had time to prepare for matches unlike normal BO1s in tourneys. Should be fine

You could also look at it in another way; You only have to set off one day for watching CS, and here you can avoid the matches you think will be boring. i have noticed a lot think Danish CS is boring to watch. In this tournament you can simply avoid watching them completely (until potential finals).

3rd place after groups finishes picks a team to play in BO1 for $10,000. The two remaining teams play eachother for $10,000.

Oops, They changed it. 3rd place picks a team from 4-6th place for a showmatch played on the BLAST Standoff Aim Map. Five 1v1 aim duels, with different players for each match-up. Every match-up is played with a different weapon: M4A4/M4A1-S, Desert Eagle, AK47, CZ75, AWP First player to 10 kills wins their match-up. The team with the most kills wins and gets $20k.
