Team Spirit have parted ways with their Russian academy roster, the organisation have revealed.

The former 1337 team had been part of Spirit's ranks since May, with the squad raising eyebrows after qualifying for the CIS Minor leading into PGL Major Krakow, later that month.

However, Spirit Academy had been struggling since then, with a first-place finish at the St. Petersburg Governor's Cup offering little solace following early exits in numerous tournaments, including in the open qualifier for the second CIS Minor of 2017, in which they infamously lost to FONTAN.

1uke's team will sign for a new organisation in the near future

In a post on VK.com, team member Aleksey "⁠1uke⁠" Zimin stressed that there is no bad blood between the players and Spirit, and added that the squad will soon sign for a new organisation.

Spirit Academy had the following roster:
