Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir's time with Echo Fox has officially come to an end, but the 25-year-old is looking to compete on a high level again.

The player, who was seen playing for Morior Invictus and Swole Patrol in recent times, announced the news today via Twitter. Ryan "⁠freakazoid⁠" Abadir was the last CS:GO player Echo Fox had under contract, as the organization allowed the players to leave and find new teams at the end of 2016.

freakazoid is no longer a part of Echo Fox

freakazoid's most recent achievement with Swole Patrol, a team in which he plays with his brother Austin "⁠Cooper⁠" Abadir, was winning the Legend Series North America Finals and qualifying for the $25,000 Legend Cup in February, that will feature AGO, 5POWER and Etherian.

In a recent interview with dust2.us, freakazoid talked about his break and goals for the future. You can read a short outtake below, but be sure to check out the full article for more details.

"Probably just to win. One mini goal I have is to win MDL, but obviously get back to pro, and then obviously get back to the Major. That is my end goal, and obviously winning along the way. To sum it all up, pretty much just win." - freakazoid about his goals for next season.

He is the most overrated player in the history of this game. I do not know why Cloud9 was signed him.

it must contain tier 1 teams. epl had 2 tier 1 teams and 10 tier2 teams so it was a tier 2 event. edit: now that i think about it, more like sk+11 tier 2 teams cuz g2 was not considered more than tier2, they just upset sk and won against the other tier2 teams

What makes you say that? Taco faces considerably better opposition than Freak does/did. When he does entry, he's not exactly expected to kill anyone, he's more of a bait for the other players on SK. For example, he often baits himself for cold for obvious reasons.

Seems like you dont understand Taco’s role in SK at all. SKs strats and executes often revolves around making it possible for cold to make a play. Taco’s role is extremely difficult and he is also put in difficult positions to make an actual play out of. Even if taco dies, he gives gamewinning info and baits the other team so hard that SK can make it work. On cache he often plays solo A while cold just chills around in checkers. As T on cache he often lurks A site alone or squeeky. Same goes with mirage, cold chills in mid waiting for push or in ladderroom (he can stay there the entire round) while taco is actually trying to make possible plays for his team. Taco and freak does not play even the same style of entry.

Brax can AWP, sure. His play style doesn't really fit into how a dedicated AWPer should play though. He's at his best when he can lurk or is able to do as he pleases. I'd say he would be a good secondary AWPer. Steel and Freak could never play on the same team. Steel's constant toxicity and apparent hatred towards Freak would be a horrible atmosphere for any team member.

Taco dies 90% of the time without getting any entries or opening the site. Freak gets an entry or takes the site around 60% of the time. I don't know how long you watched CS, but he was insane in 2015. Not saying he is individually better than Taco right now, but he is definitely better in his role.
