Liquid go 1-1 in Atlanta after beating FlipSid3

Liquid go 1-1 after beating FlipSid3 (0-2), on Cobblestone, 16-10, in the first match of Day 2.

The match started with FlipSid3 attacking and Liquid defending. The Russian-Ukrainian side slowed the first round down after Georgi "WorldEdit" Yaskin’s entry, and eventually took the A site and won the round cleanly by eliminating all of their opponents. After winning both anti-ecos, the first gun round came down to a 2vs1 that Liquid were able to win as Josh "jdm64" Marzano traded WorldEdit out. The next round was also a 2vs1, which ended up in a 1vs1 between WorldEdit and Nick "nitr0" Cannella, but the Russian player was unable to clutch out the round.

Liquid tied the match against an eco, and then a triple by jdm64 gave his team the lead on the following gun round, but FlipSid3 were able to keep it tied, 4-4, winning a forcebuy. WorldEdit was finally about to clutch out a 1vs2, as he killed Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski and Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken on a forcebuy to get his team back in the lead. Down 6-4, Twistzz won a 1vs2 osf his own, stopping WorldEdit from rotating A and planting the bomb after killing Andrey "B1ad3" Gorodenskiy in drop.

Liquid win their first match in Atlanta on day 2

After winning a forcebuy without losing a player, Liquid pushed FlipSid3 into an eco and tied the match up, 7-7, although it was finally the Russian side that took the half. After switching sides, Liquid was able to take the second pistol round to tie it back up, 8-8, and going up against a pistol buy. After winning two, "" lost the first gun round as FlipSid3 were able to win a 3vs3 retake. The North American team didn’t back down, though, and won the following round to increase their lead to 11-9.

From there on out Liquid didn’t look back, winning round after round without letting FlipSid3 get back into the game. Having hunted the Russian and Ukrainian players down when up 14-9. A double AWP buy, with two FAMAS and a UMP was all FlipSid3 could muster up, but it was enough to stop an A push to keep the game alive, but Liquid were able to close it out the following round.

No it's not LOL They rebranded this to the major. This is part of the major now and the major has 3 stages - Minor Challanger Stage 24 Teams - Returning Challanger Stage 16 Teams - Legends Stage 8 Teams THIS whole thing is the major now, and the qualifiers are now ex-Minors

It's nice that you (and the other one) think that this is the major. I'm sure quantum bellator and avangar (and others) appreciate that some people think they are major teams and not just teams that barely made it out the local qualifier for the major qualifier.

Maybe. Anyways i think it's kinda unfair that you get a second chance even though you should have been eliminated from the tournament.

I mean, they can't have 15 teams, otherwise one team gets a free 1-0 advantage over the others, so they just give all of the 2-3 teams another chance.

Yeah i know. There is nothing you can really do about it. It's just sad that these visa issues make teams that didn't deserve the spot get them.

It will, all flipside do is cash in on sticker money then do nothing, they already got their stickers so they're satisfied
