Cloud9 dismantle Sprout at Major qualifier

The match kicked off with the European mixture winning their T-side pistol but failing to follow that up due to a flawless force-buy from the North Americans. In the first gun-round, Cloud9 continued to prove they were in control of proceedings with a very tight defence, setting themselves up for a 6-1 lead.

Sprout then called a tactical pause, which paid off as they were able to take their second round on the board after buying up. But that did little to change the course of the game as the North Americans won six rounds straight to secure a commanding 13-2 lead. 

Cloud9 need only one more win to qualify for the New Legends Stage

Paweł "⁠innocent⁠" Mocek opened up the second half with a triple-kill, paving the way for his team to secure the CT pistol and the subsequent two rounds. Still, that was not enough to stop Cloud9, who would win the first gun round thanks to a huge 2v5 clutch from William "⁠RUSH⁠" Wierzba and Timothy "⁠autimatic⁠" Ta. 

After that, there was little that Sprout could do to prevent Cloud9 from locking down the map, 16-5, to secure their second victory in Atlanta.
