Vega Squadron qualify after beating Liquid

Liquid and Vega Squadron met on Mirage to decide which team would book their spot at the ELEAGUE Major Boston's New Legends Stage. The CT-sided Liquid won the pistol round thanks to Russel "⁠Twistzz⁠" Van Dulken's two opening kills.

Nikolay "⁠mir⁠" Bityukov got two Deagle kills in the second round and Leonid "⁠chopper⁠" Vishnyakov wrapped it up with a triple kill as Vega Squadron tied the game at 1-1. A 2vs5 victory by chopper and Sergey "⁠keshandr⁠" Nikishin made the score 3-1. Liquid took the lead with aggressive pushes, going ahead 6-4, but Vega Squadron came back to win the first half 9-6.

The Russians are through to the next stage

The Russian side started the second half on the CT-side with a pistol round victory but couldn't follow it up as Liquid's pistols reigned supreme (10-7). Later on, Vega Squadron closed down the gap and tied the game at 13-13. Vega Squadron closed out the game, winning it 16-14 and qualifying for the next stage.
