cs_summit 2 team list finalized; Vega, NiP among the invited

The last of teams for cs_summit 2 have been revealed, as well as a replacement for mousesports, who will not attend the event.

The second installment of cs_summit will take place at the start of next month, on February 8-11, in Los Angeles, California. The tournament will feature eight teams and a $150,000 prize pool.

cs_summit 2 will be NiP's first tournament of 2018

Four teams have been announced earlier this month, with SK, Cloud9 and North getting invited while MOUZ earned a place through the LOOT.BET Cup 2 qualifier. However, MOUZ has decided to pull out of the event, with their place now filled with HEROIC, who finished second.

Joining the list of teams now are OpTic, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Liquid, who all attended the first cs_summit event, albeit with different rosters, as well as Vega Squadron, who finished 3-4th in the online qualifier and recently impressed at the ELEAGUE Major 2018 Main Qualifier.

No. They had a resurgence at Oakland, just like the year before. Everyone knows it was an over-performance, and since Oakland they've gone back to before and have only had group exits. They are not a tier 1 team.

Cologne they won bo1s on Cache and thats it. Dreamhack Malmo they won bo1s and some bo3s agaist teams that had all undergone roster changes. Faze, Gambit, Navi, all of them were playing with a new roster for the first time, some of them with very little practice. Once NiP had a real opponent they lost.

TBH I personally don’t care what “tier” this tournament is. Cs summit was my favorite event last year and I can’t wait for It this year. For me personally, this event it more about the players in the teams Than the teams themselves. In an event like this, you want big personalities and memorable players from teams like C9, SK, NiP, Liquid etc.

hltv ranking doesn't matter anything . We both now that for example Nip are not t1 team . The same troubles with first places. Winning of one tournament can give you first place ,but u may be not the best team. In addition SK will play with felps(no chance for them). So if faze qualifies to play off they should win this tournament
