Kvik: "We just told ourselves that VP are not in form"
After Quantum Bellator Fire shocked Virtus.pro with a 16-3 win on Cache in the second match of round one, we got a hold of Aurimas "Kvik" Kvakšys for an interview.
The surprise of the Main Qualifier, Quantum Bellator Fire, stepped into the ELEAGUE Major on the right foot, crushing Virtus.pro 16-3 on Cache to begin their journey in Atlanta.

In our next interview, Aurimas "Kvik" Kvakšys told us about the match, his team's preparation, and confidence going further at the tournament.
What were your feelings going into the Virtus.pro matchup and your expectations, did you prepare for them in the last three days?
We actually didn't prepare for them at all, we didn't know how they play, because they have no HLTV matches in the nearest time, so we didn't even prepare. We just mentally told ourselves that they are not in form, we know that, we talked to some teams who practiced against them and some of them said that they are actually good, but some of them said that they are not in form at all. We were confident, we were happy with the draw, it was probably the best draw for us out of the teams we could have got.
Tell me about the match itself - clearly a one-sided match, did you expect it to go down that way?
It's like I said before, if we get rolling we can just steamroll and that happened, we won five rounds in a row, we were really happy about that, we were pumped. Actually, waterfaLLZ told me when the score was 5-0 he actually already thought that we could stomp them. That's just how it went.
How did the last three days for you go in terms of general preparation, were you able to get good practice?
Yeah, we were actually practiced against good teams, SK asked for us to pracc and that was really nice from them, we played three praccs in a row with them, Na`Vi asked for praccs, so it was really good, we prepared really well. We played the praccs really well, actually, we were really surprised, I don't know if the teams were underestimating us or not wanting to show some tactics against us, but we were playing really well and that's why we built up confidence.
Does your first win and good practice give you a lot of it, the confidence? What's the mood like now going into the rest of the matches here?
It definitely does, but the other teams are really strong and we will have to do better than we did now and confidence won't be enough from us, we need to play our best to win against them.
How do you feel as the first Lithuanian player at a Major?
It feels awesome, I get a lot of support from Lithuanians and that's really awesome. Even though they maybe don't believe in our team, they do really support me and that's really awesome, I like that feeling.
Is there anyone else we could potentially see in the future from Lithuania?
Yes, of course, I mean Nikolaj "kalinka" Rysakov, Rokas "EspiranTo" Milasauskas, Žygimantas "nukkye" Chmieliauskas probably, those are great players and they probably will show up. They play FPL now, Martynas "Butters" Juodagalvis as well who qualified, they're really good players and I hope to see them. Actually, I want a Lithuanian team, not just players only, but a team to get here. Maybe in the future I will be with them as well.
