SK beat mousesports to secure second win

SK have picked up their second victory at the ELEAGUE Major Boston's New Legends Stage after beating mousesports 16-12 on Mirage.

The match kicked off with SK executing a nearly-flawless A-split to secure their Terrorist pistol, and quickly following that up with the subsequent anti-ecos. Although MOUZ responded with a successful gun round, the Brazilians did not let any of their opponents survive, meaning that the European mixture had to go for a shoddy buy, which they eventually won.

Even though SK then replied with their first two victorious rounds with guns, MOUZ kept countering the Brazilians' slow-paced style with a very tight defense to equalize the score at 5-5.

In the next round, a fast triple-kill from João "⁠felps⁠" Vasconcellos on mid opened up a way for SK to stop MOUZ' streak, but they could not string more than two rounds together as Chris "⁠chrisJ⁠" de Jong's men picked up the final three rounds to secure an 8-7 half-time lead.

SK are one victory away from qualifying for the Major playoffs

The second half began with SK picking up the CT pistol thanks to Epitacio "⁠TACO⁠" de Melo clutching an impressive 1v2, setting themselves up for a narrow lead, 9-8. MOUZ immediately responded with a triumphant third-round buy, but they could not follow that up.

Just like in the first half, the match was nothing but a back-and-forth affair. Still, from the 23rd round onward, Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo and co. lost a single round before finishing things off, 16-12.

SK lost more gun rounds than they won, I highly doubt it was an easy game. They lost 11 gun rounds. It's too bad though, I feel like Mouz's strong side is their strong pistol rounds as well as force buys, if they had won any of those (or even dealt more dmg than they did, hardly any) they'd almost certainly have won the game or at least secured OT.

12-16 and 16-2 against two of the best teams in the world. Having a close final against FaZe... they are pretty decent for not having big stars on the team, I think.

What a shit match by FalleN, no impact kills, 29.7 ADR, 0.68 rating. Versus Space Soldiers cold was absent, versus mouz FalleN was absent. If SK play 4v5 again vs a better team, they will fall hard, SK better wake up and play properly.

Truth is SK is giving zero fucks for this major. They are all upset with the ridiculous rules, so they just focus on the rest of the year with boltz. So yeah, if they win this I'll be impressed.

Thats actually why they shouldnt win. Although I like SK and will probably cheer for them if they're in the final.
