ESL announces Pro League Season 7 teams; NA reduced to 12

ESL has officially put out the team list for the upcoming season of Pro League, with a modification in the North American division.

The ESL Pro League's seventh season, which is set to kick off with seven weeks of online CS followed by the offline finals in May, will have a prize pool of $1 million. The league will be streamed live on Facebook, with official broadcasts in English and Portuguese.

SK won the last Pro League finals in Denmark

Possibly the biggest change to the league this season will be the reduction of size in the North American division, as both Misfits and CLG did not renew their licenses, prompting ESL to leave the spots vacant.

Here is ESL's statement on the matter:

"Two of the licenses for Pro League Season 7 have not been renewed (Misfits & CLG), bringing the total number of North American participating teams to 12.

"Despite no changes made to the relegation system, this adjustment will affect the structure of the season finals, which will be announced in the coming days. The league administration will re-evaluate the structure for Season 8 later this year with the option to go back to 14 teams."
