SIXER joins EnVyUs Academy

Former EnVyUs member Christophe "SIXER" Xia will further his career in the organisation's academy squad, the team's manager has confirmed.

The 26-year-old's future had been up in the air after he was benched to make way for Ali "⁠hAdji⁠" Haïnouss, who was promoted from EnVyUs' academy squad.

On Twitter, EnVyUs Academy manager Loïc "NEOSKAI" Potages wrote that he hopes the team will provide Christophe "⁠SIXER⁠" Xia with the conditions "to unleash the beast again". The player faced a wave of criticism during his Envy tenure as he failed to reach the same heights he had during his 1.6 career.

SIXER has been moved to EnVyUs Academy

The announcement comes less than two weeks after a report from Flickshot.fr revealed that EnVyUs were ready to listen to offers for their academy squad, created in April 2017.

The French team, who are scheduled to play their first match in ESEA MDL on Wednesday, against Spirit, now have:

Not even that bad of a player, he's just not an awper in GO. It was like Scream main awping... Sixer would've had a 1.00+ rating if he was rifling instead of awping.

Sixer was main awper the whole time before he went to envyus to rifle. If you look at 1.6 stats and stats before he was in tier 2 team he was the best awper in terms of player stats.

I literally said he was better at rifling in GO, I don't care about 1.6 in regard to Sixer. 1.6 awping has almost no relevancy to GO awping. 1.6 awping involved a lot of smooth movement, CSGO is way more aim based.

After so many years of playing he can not just become a good AWPer. Look at all the top snipers - they revealed themselves within their first matches, you either have that ability to control your AWP crosshair and move it fast and precisive or you do not, and SIXER do not.
