StarSeries fourth round matchups determined

After all day three matches came to an end in Kiev, Starladder drew the six matchups for round four, in which three more teams will lock a spot in the playoffs and three teams will get eliminated.

After a number of upsets taking place on day two, most of the favored teams prevailed in the third round aside from the elimination match between Renegades and fnatic, where the former picked up a tight 2-0 win to eliminate the Swedes in last place.

As the day progressed, we got our first two names in the playoffs in G2, who beat MOUZ 2-1, and FaZe, who ended the day by taking down Natus Vincere, while MVP PK exited the competition following a loss to HellRaisers.

Astralis will face Heroic for a spot in the playoffs

Shortly after the analysis of the last match concluded, Starladder drew matchups for tomorrow's fourth round.

What, because of the random match up that meant an underperforming team who probably doesn't deserve a play off spot matched up against a recent major winner?

i would argue that VP got a lucky draw of probably the only team they could defeat this LAN, and from what we saw on that matchup, VP doesn't even deserve the only victory they got

Well, i think they can beat Tyloo too, and have close games against one or two other teams. But they are inferior to most of the others. I dont really agree that they had a lucky draw, but for sure they didnt have a bad one too.

That's a stupid way of looking at it. They also lost to the 2nd rd force buys which in turn was even worse than losing pistol. Kerrigan has a good game once every 6 months, faze is lucky their bot carried them to victory in this 1.

pistols are the most random of rounds but give a team the weapon advantage. i'm saying navi had the weapon and economic advantage to start 5/6 halfs, not that it means easy victory. you sound like the only bot here.

How are pistol rounds the most random rounds? They are a part of the game much like economical rounds, and they require a certain subset of skill/technique to be successful. I can flip the coin to your redundant argument. Round 2 economical force buys are the most random rounds in the game (which unlike pistols, they actually are), and on 2 different occasions they gave FAZE an economical advantage. Winning pistol =/= 2 free eco rounds anymore. What you're trying to half ass insinuate is that because na'vi got 5/6 pistols they had a massive advantage. The reality is they won 5 rounds to fazes 1, which is an advantage of 4 rounds. Which is hardly an advantage at all when you're talking about a bo3. But i can see you've been a member here barely over a year, so I'll def take your expertise to heart /facepalm

LOLOLOL your incompetent understanding of the financial gain from a pistol round is almost as pathetic as your knowledge of time in a calendar year. at the boston major 11% of maps were won by a team where they lost both pistols. so yes, they are more important than one round. forcebuys are won roughly 35-40% of the time in the professional scene , not only on the second round (which valve has stated they want to be in the game). if you know anything about bookmaker odds you'd know that pistol rounds are nearly always pick' em prices even between heavy favs/dogs. i think it's time for you to move back to minecraft, you clearly are feigning cs knowledge

Oh good lord, another skin betting dipshit teaching people CS through irrelevant numerics. We're not talking about a grand statistic of what happens when you win both pistol rounds, over x amount of maps over x amount of teams. Were talking about a specific singular match, where you're skewed statistic is nothing more than that. A number inflated to support you're obviously biased opinion that na'vi played with an advantage due to winning 5/6 pistol rounds. Winning pistol = advantage, winning eco on 2nd round especially vs CT's is an even bigger advantage. Great were back to square one where any LEM knows as much. If NaVi won 5 pistols, and then proceeded to secure the economic advantage by forcing save rounds on each occasion I would have no choice but to agree with you. However, given that they lost the second round force on multiple occasions in this match, which put them into an even worse financial situation than they would have been had they lost those pistol rounds. I do not agree with you, since you're dead wrong. At the end of the day arguing easy rounds is semantics, all you really need is eyes and a brain, and to actually see and process what happened during the match. Faze would have decimated navi on overpass regardless of pistol rounds, and navi would have dominated faze on inferno regardless of pistol rounds too. All it came down to was Mirage, when as far as I remember both teams played an even amount of economical rounds to gun rounds. If you told me tyloo would win 6/6 pistol rounds vs FAZE, id still bet that FAZE would go 3/3 on maps and so would you. Like I said stop spewing redundant statistics, and better yet just shove em up your ass instead next time you feel like sharing.

hahaha nice..well then, this is easy; if you choose to be blind to the the statistics then it's your own ignorance and lack of understanding that 's brought you to reply to me in the first place. your hopelessness in wanting navi to be 'top1' makes you as pathetic as the brazilian children running around this site screaming 'run skg'. furthermore faze only won one second round so you are either braindead or didn't watch the match. instead of dreaming about hltv ass, or at least mine, spend more time learning about cs....look up, click on 'stats.'... (you probably need further direction but i'm bored of someone who doesn't think pistol rounds are important). good day ignorant hltv user # ______...i've lost count

Talking to stupid people is actually worse than talking to a wall. At least a wall doesnt respond with stupid ignorant comments. I'll repeat again since you evidently slow. The only map where pistols mattered was mirage, where both teams played the same amount of eco rounds, maybe even more on Na'Vi. If this still doesn't register in the back of your brain, I would suggest picking another hobby. Good day sir.

As a navi fan I do not mind them going out of groups if they play top tier teams

I hope they will realize and fix their mistakes after the losses(from Faze and SK if they are going to lose) If that happens it will be damn worth it

Its was quite nice to see NaVi actually fight back against a top tier team and not take it up the ass like they love to

Damn, quite tough draw But SK looks vulnerable atm,so if Na'Vi can replicate the form they've had vs Faze they have a good chance to take it Anyway,i hope for a great match, these two teams had some amazing matches so far

Astralis vs Heroic so boring. Danish cs overall not that exciting and Astralis rarely messes up in derbys(I know Heroic beat them on EPL recently but it hardly matters).
