Wind and Rain sign Stifmeister

Wind and Rain have announced that they have acquired the services of the team known as Stifmeister.

The UK-based organisation will venture into CS:GO with the signing of Aaron "⁠frei⁠" Frei and co., who have been gradually moving up in the ranking, in which they currently sit in 72nd place.

While playing under the Stifmeister name, the squad's most notable achievement was a second-place finish in ESEA Main Season 26, which earned them a spot in ESEA MDL Season 27.

frei's Stifmeister are now tied to Wind and Rain

In a statement, coach Neil "⁠nEiLZiNHo⁠" Finlay admitted to being "extremely impressed" with the growth of the squad, who have moved up more than 30 places in the ranking since the start of the year, and stated that he plans to "help establish this team in Europe".

"We are delighted to announce that we have joined up with Wind & Rain for the foreseeable future. After qualifying for ESEA MDL we have been searching for the right partners to help develop and promote our team of young and talented individuals.", nEiLZiNHo told HLTV.org.

"I have been a part of this line-up since we began our MDL campaign and aim to use my experience as a player and in-game leader to help establish this team in Europe, as well as continue our strong start to the season.

"I have been extremely impressed with the progress that we have shown so far, despite having such a young and inexperienced line-up and I am positive that this will continue given the right amount of time and support.

"Outside of ESEA, we will be competing in the ESL UK Premiership and shall be looking to enter any European tournaments or qualifiers that are available to us."

Wind and Rain are currently placed 12th in ESEA MDL with a 3-3 record, with their victories coming against Gambit, Nemiga and Fragsters. Their roster looks as follows:

sadly, a very long time - if ever. I still don't truly understand what happened to the UK CS scene, it just fell off the planet around the time that CSS and 1.6 were duking it out for prize pools at tournaments. I miss the glory days of 4Kings and Birmigham Salvo actually doing well at professional tournaments :(
