IEM Katowice groups drawn

The draw for the group stage of IEM Katowice has been made, with the 16 teams having been split into two double-elimination groups.

The $500,000 Polish event will run from February 27 to March 4 and will feature the new format designed by ESL for its 16-team competitions, starting with two double-elimination groups of eight teams.

The two group winners will automatically progress to the semi-finals, while the losing the finalist and the team coming out of the lower bracket will be placed in the quarter-finals. The playoffs will take place in front of a live audience at the Spodek Arena and will culminate with the best-of-five grand final, on Sunday at 17:00 .

Astralis will open up the action against Renegades
