TyLoo win StarLadder ImbaTV Invitational Chongqing
TyLoo won the StarLadder ImbaTV Invitational Chongqing 2018 with a 2-0 victory over Spirit in the grand final (16-11 Inferno, 16-13 Overpass).
Starting Inferno, the first map of the series, on the CT side and losing the pistol, Spirit had a tough time establishing their economy early on, and that was only made worse by rounds constantly being traded back-and-forth when the guns rolled in, resetting Spirit's loss bonus.
TYLOO grabbed a 6-3 lead, with a 2v4 turnaround on A playing a pivotal part in that, but Spirit managed to finally tie some rounds together and the end of the half with an 8-7 advantage. Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev got a double entry in the second pistol round to allow his team to take the round, but TYLOO struck back instantly with Kevin "xccurate" Susanto's sneaky double playing a crucial part in the force-buy win.
The Indonesian AWPer, who wasn't having a great game in the first half, woke up after that and did work on the CT side. TYLOO then went on a five-round winning streak which was finally stopped by a successful fake and late-round commitment towards A. However, TYLOO brought it back shortly, with xccurate's 1v1 clutch in round 23 setting his team up for a 16-11 victory on Inferno.

On Overpass, Spirit kicked off with a pistol round win and a clean 3-0 start, but TYLOO was able to break the CIS team's economy shortly, taking two rounds on the T side. As the score reached the 4-3 mark, Spirit managed to add two to their tally, with Vadim "DavCost" Vasilyev topping the scoreboard for his team at that point with 10 kills and 5 deaths (6-3).
To avoid Spirit's AWPer, TYLOO focused on the B site and won consecutive rounds on that side of the map, allowing them to finish the half with a minimal deficit, 8-7. The score was tied up in the next round as TYLOO retook the A site with ease, Ke "captainMo" Liu picking up the last two kills in the round.
Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand and co. started gaining some ground after the first gun round of the second half went their way as well (11-8), but their streak was shortly put on pause by a scrappy round won by Spirit on A. The score was 13-10 in their favor when TYLOO was put on a limited buy, but captainMo stepped up with two key kills on the B site defence and the Chinese side reached map point shortly.
Spirit was putting up a strong comeback attempt towards the end of the half map, but on a round his team had mixed buy, Hui "DD" Wu pulled off a quad-kill hero play and secured the map win for his team, taking Overpass 16-13 and the series 2-0.
