BIG and luckeRRR part ways

BIG has announced it will no longer have Niels "luckeRRR" Jasiek in its roster, bringing the player's trial with the team to an end.

In February, after the Major in Boston, BIG made some structural changes by adding Tizian "⁠tiziaN⁠" Feldbusch and giving Niels "⁠luckeRRR⁠" Jasiek the chance to try out with the team, but the German AWPer hasn't been able to impress his teammates and will now be released into free agency.

luckeRRR is now free to join another organization

While the team looks for other options, as was already hinted by DBLTAP's report of Owen "⁠smooya⁠" Butterfield being in talks with the German organization, former player and current Head of CS:GO Nikola "⁠LEGIJA⁠" Ninić will stand in for the team in the upcoming MDL playoff matches which kick off tomorrow.

LEGIJA's statement:

"After our roster change in early February we focused on integrating Niels "⁠luckeRRR⁠" Jasiek into our game. Despite the fact that he joined the team with just 3000 hours of playtime and the resulting lack of experience, luckeRRR did a great job in general. He proved himself during the WESG in China, especially while playing against SK, Wololos and Team Russia. However, we came to the conclusion that we needed a different kind of AWPer, particularly with regards to the playing style.

"It was a team decision. We really tried to make it work, but we weren’t 100% satisfied with the results at the end. Now we are looking into other options. In the meantime, I will join the starting roster for the upcoming MDL Playoffs as a stand-in and take over the AWP position with tabseN. A BIG "Thank you" to all the people who keep supporting us, we’ll give our best during the upcoming MDL Playoffs!"

With this change, BIG's roster is now:

yeah he has been carrying attax lately and they need an awper

its been said that syrsons buyout is 120.000$ its also been said that epsilon wanted 40k$ for smooya and that was already too much for BIG i agree, syrson would be sick (ayken would also be a great pickup imo) but i dont think they'll go for him(/them)

i think BIG as an organisation could probably pay that much, but they already got lucker for (i think) 50k$, that was the most expensive german csgo trade, and they probably dont see a reason to get syrson for even more money then. They know as well as anybody that attax isnt going anywhere with this lineup, maybe they just wait and see how it develops, i dont know when syrsons contract expires

cuz in attax he could play his 0815 playstyle and he could whiff 1-2 shots ... on the level that big wants to play it isnt possible ... you miss... ur fucked ... you make a yolo play without the experience of a guardian, kenny or fallen? you're fucked ... in the MDL and so on it can work but major, any bigger lan or pro league ... he hasnt got any chance with this kind of playstyle

It would be nice if they can find a good german AWPer but I don't think that they will try it with these players which you listed otherwise they wouldn't try it first with ayken and luckerrr. If they can't find the perfect AWPer they are forced to try a .int AWPer. Of course it's much easier for gob b to call in german but he needs a AWPer otherwise his calls are mostly wasted. And I think +keev will not happen anymore otherwise he would play now instead of Legija.

or you go the Liquid or NaVi way ... you get a good rifler (k1to for example) and let play tabseN the AWP if he feels good with it otherwise you can play a full rifle setup

Just take dupreeh as a example, he also felt good and we saw what happened.

the difference here is that dupreeh wanted to take it 24/7 while tabsen would just take it if he says in the game i want it (depending on the situation and so on)

I agree for people playing for fun, but pro's often play 60+ hours a week which means one could get around 1000 hours in just 4 months, so someone with years of serious play like s1mple can get 10k+ hours no problem if it is their job + hobby both
