RES part ways with Ant1ka

After a long period of dominance in female Counter-Strike, the team featuring the likes of Zainab "⁠zAAz⁠" Turkie and Ksenia "⁠vilga⁠" Kluenkova hasn't been able to live up to the expectations at their last offline outings.

First a loss to Squared Prospects saw them finish top four at the Intel Challenge Katowice 2018, and, most recently, RES failed to claim the trophy at the Copenhagen Games 2018 Female tournament, losing to Singularity fe in the grand final.

Ant1ka said her farewell to RES

Shortly after the event in Copenhagen, RES has announced that Anna "⁠Ant1ka⁠" Ananikova will no longer be a part of the team. In the official announcement of the move, the team's Director of Esport stated that the two parties reached a mutual agreement on the matter:

"During these few months of competitive level with the team, I would say that Anna is one of the best CS female players out there. We reached a mutual agreement to allow her to pursue other opportunities and keep fighting for her own brand and hopefully find a new home. She has a warm personality and her contributions to the team will be remembered."

Ant1ka added the following:

"It’s hard for me to understand that I’m no longer a part of the team that I’ve been for a year and half. It has been an unforgettable time for me. I would like to give a special thanks to zAAz for taking me in and a big shoutout to juliano, potter and vilga for being my teammates. I will miss you all and I love you vilga! Thanks to RES gaming for the oppurtunity and everything."

RES is now down to four:
