Richard Lewis steps down from ELEAGUE

In a Twitlonger post, the 34-year-old stated that he is looking to "pursue additional opportunities in the esports industry" following a two-year association with ELEAGUE.

During his time with ELEAGUE, Richard Lewis worked in several games and was the host at the company's Atlanta Major, in 2017, and the desk host at the Boston Major, earlier this year.

He becomes the second high-profile figure to depart ELEAGUE this month, after General Manager Christina "burbunny" Alejandre stepped down from her role last week.

"I'm proud of what we achieved at Eleague and I’ve really enjoyed working with the dedicated people at Turner and IMG," Richard Lewis wrote.

"I hope I get to come back and work with them in future. For now, though, it's time for a change.

"I will elaborate more on what comes next in the not too distant future but for now I hope everyone will join me in continuing to support Eleague as it helps propel esports into the mainstream."

ELEAGUE has not yet announced who it will be hiring to replace Richard Lewis as desk host. The Turner Sports and IMG subsidiary will host in the summer its second Premier CS:GO tournament, which will run from July 21-29 and feature eight teams.
