Official: chelo, Apoka join NTC

Luminosity star Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes and team coach Alessandro "Apoka" Marcucci have completed a move to Não Tem Como, João "felps" Vasconcellos has confirmed.

On Twitter, João "⁠felps⁠" Vasconcellos welcomed the duo, stating that it is "a pleasure" to have them on the team, who are finally back to a five-man roster after parting ways with twin brothers Henrique "⁠HEN1⁠" Teles and Lucas "⁠LUCAS1⁠" Teles last month.

Marcelo "⁠chelo⁠" Cespedes follows in the footsteps of Vito "⁠kNgV-⁠" Giuseppe, who was recruited by Não Tem Como at the start of the month after less than two months on Virtue's ranks.

The 19-year-old joined Luminosity in the summer of 2017 after impressing for paiN. And even though the team struggled for results, both online and offline, chelo still managed to impress, particularly at the ESL Pro League Season 6 Finals, where he averaged a tournament-high 1.34 rating.

chelo leaves Luminosity to join Não Tem Como

Alessandro "⁠Apoka⁠" Marcucci leaves Luminosity after two stints with the North American organisation, the second of which lasted eight months.

chelo will make his first appearance for Não Tem Como next week as the team will take part in the South American closed qualifier for ESL One Belo Horizonte, which will run from April 24 to May 9. His new teammates have already returned to Brazil from a bootcamp in Germany that began in early March and during which the squad was depleted to just three players.

With these changes, NTC's squad looks as follows:

Maybe you should see another angle. Boltz was in a tight situation when Immortalz disbanded. SK needed someone because of Felps exit so it was good for both parts. But it doesn't mean that they can't release Boltz if they want to. We don't know what are the contractual terms, but we know that it was a good deal to Boltz because he was without a team anyways.
