Gambit to DH Tours playoffs over AGO

Gambit have advanced to the playoffs at DreamHack Open Tours after beating AGO 2-1 in Group A's decider match (9-16 on Overpass, 16-13 on Train, and 16-14 on Mirage).

The Group A decider match at DreamHack Open Tours featured Gambit and AGO. The series kicked off on Overpass where Gambit were the T-sided team in the first half. Denis "⁠seized⁠" Kostin secured the pistol round with a quad kill and Gambit made it 3-0 after winning the anti-eco rounds.

Dominik "⁠GruBy⁠" Swiderski opened up the first gun round with two kills to give AGO their first round and Michał "⁠snatchie⁠" Rudzki's 1vs2 clutch in the following round made it 3-2. The Polish team secured four more rounds to lead 6-3. Rustem "⁠mou⁠" Telepov stopped AGO's six round streak with a 1vs2 clutch and Gambit finished the half 8-7 ahead after winning five of the last six rounds.

Gambit have qualified for the playoffs

AGO won the second half pistol rounds and the anti-ecos to take back the lead (10-8). Gambit could only win one round in the second half and the Poles won the first map 16-9 with a 9-1 T-side victory.

The Poles opened up Train on the CT-side, winning the pistol round with Damian "⁠Furlan⁠" Kislowski's quad kill. After losing the first five rounds, Gambit responded thanks to seized's 1vs2 clutch and won three rounds in a row (5-3). AGO took five of the remaining seven rounds in the half to lead 10-5 at halftime.

Furlan & co. have been eliminated

mou & Dauren "⁠AdreN⁠" Kystaubayev's double kills in the second half pistol round gave Gambit their sixth round. AGO hit back in the 18th round with an early buy, extending their lead to 11-7. Gambit won five rounds in a row to take a 12-11 lead but lost a 5vs3 in the 24th round (12-12). Mihail "⁠Dosia⁠" Stolyarov's team stood strong and closed out the map 16-13.

The last map of the series was Mirage. AGO started by winning the pistol round but lost the following six rounds to trail 6-1. Furlan clutched a 1vs3 to give his team their second round and AGO came back to win the half 8-7.

Mateusz "⁠TOAO⁠" Zawistowski got a triple kill in the second half pistol round to keep AGO's round streak alive and the Poles made it 12-7 after winning the anti-ecos and the first weapon round. Gambit came back from 7-13 to win the map 16-14. With a 2-1 series victory, Gambit have advanced to the playoffs.

That one round where seized was sitting on A site default and Ago tried to plant for mid/pit pretty much determined the outcome of the match. The last map was nice to watch.

Lucky Gambot... AGO doesn't have experience in tournaments like this, so they threw 2 maps because of nerves. Btw nice try and let's see how will they present themselves in the future.
