Cloud9 have designated Pujan "⁠FNS⁠" Mehta as an inactive player on the roster and are open to offers for the in-game leader, the organization announced.

The removal of the in-game leader is a result of "differences in philosophies" between him and the team, which "proved to be too great to form the cohesion Cloud9 needed" to accomplish satisfying results.

FNS's short stint with the squad ends after less than two months, during which they placed 5th-8th at DreamHack Masters Marseille and exited two tournaments in a row in the group stage, IEM Sydney and ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals.

FNS' stint with Cloud9 comes to an abrupt end

The Canadian will still travel to London for the ECS Season 5 Finals, which are set to begin on June 8, with Tarik "⁠tarik⁠" Celik retaking the in-game leadership role at the event.

Meanwhile, Cloud9 are seeking offers for FNS, whose replacement is currently unknown, although reports suggest the organization is considering G2's Dan "⁠apEX⁠" Madesclaire and Nathan "⁠NBK-⁠" Schmitt.

Not really, NTC is pretty bad compared to SK. Other than swag, literally everyone else you mentioned is an upgrade over fugly. Swag is pointless due to his major bans and is pretty overrated anyway. C9 are in a weird spot since ska is falling off and rush is inconsistent. They need to at least make 2 changes, if you ask me, but it's hard to say what would be optimal.

I thought NA was getting better in terms of its attitudes as the results improved but boy was I proven wrong. Looks like NA is still the egotistical trash can region it always was. I thought removing the old guard would bring in new minds who were more accepting and willing to try new things and see things through to the end. Instead, it's shit like this. It's funny, because for as shit as SK have been, they are at least pulling out all of the stops to work with what they have. fnatic brought in Golden, and gave him half a year until they thought about kicking him. Meanwhile in North America, they sign an IGL who has been longing for a good squad for four years and they kick him after one month. Whatever. C9 will now be the same as Liquid, another team carried by some outsiders. Maybe I'll root for eUnited now in pro league.

Honestly they ought to cut the cord and put Ska on the inactive list as well. Make a run at JKS and Nifty or Ethan and Cerq. They should have the money with that Stewie buyout plus C9 as an org has got cash anyway. They are in OWL and NA LCS. These are huge cash cows for them I'm sure. I mean FNS as IGL takes a fair share of C9 abysmal performances lately. However, let be real, RUSH and Ska were both terrible lately. RUSH is bottom frag pretty much every game. Ska AWP impact is almost nonexistent as he missed left and right. Those two should get crap as well, not just FNS.
