FTW and Prodigy have been disqualified from the closed qualifier for the ZOTAC Cup Masters European Regional Finals for cheating, the tournament organisers have revealed.

In a statement shared by LDLC manager Loïc "⁠RegnaM⁠" Péron, ZOTAC's Ryan "Flakes" Oliver explained that the decision was made "after a lengthy investigation".

FTW had qualified for the double-elimination bracket after winning three out of four Swiss matches, beating Forge, LDLC and Valiance, while Prodigy were still in the race for a playoff spot, with a 2-2 record.

ZOTAC Cup Masters qualifier marred by cheating cases

The pair's disqualification has forced ZOTAC to make "major development changes" to its platform, with the new structure involving "additional matches for teams who were otherwise eliminated". The new bracket will be released at 15:30 and matches will start 30 minutes later.

"We understand that this is still an inconvenience to a lot of the players, but we are confident that disqualifying those two teams was the right decision," Flakes added.

Kinguin, Tempo Storm, x-kom and tomorrow are the first four sides through to the eight-team playoffs. The top four teams of the qualifier will secure spots at the $20,000 Europe Regional Finals, in Milan, next month.

If you check the demo you know that he knew he planted on the right side, came from CT checked the left and didnt see him plant. So he can only be shadow or construction, since he came from construction the only possibility was shadow. Also we didnt get disqualified for cheating, we got disqualified because 1 of our demos was corrupted. This happens once every few thousand demos. However, fact is Zotac never said either of the teams were cheating, its stated on HLTV without any actual basis in reality. It's just RegnaM who might be frustrated because his team didn't make it who calls for cheat and now we all trash thoose players saying it's blatent. This is what is wrong because we dont have actual proof. Sure it's shady but we all have shady movement with a lucky shot or an instant reflex. I dont defend them, I am totaly against cheater because it's killing the game and ruin my fun every night almost. But still I think it's too much right now. It's not as much shady as some Stevie2K and Flusha videos I saw on youtube to be honnest ;)

Cheating exists in every aspect of life, including sports. Sullying your brain with awful videos attempting to believe in conspiracy is that of your own idiosyncrasies, nobody else's.
