ECS Season 5 groups determined

FACEIT has revealed the groups for the offline finals of the fifth season of the Esports Championship Series (ECS).

The groups were determined following a selection process in which teams picked a competitor to be placed in the opposing group, starting with the top-placed sides of the online divisions, Astralis and NRG.

The Danish side will go up against current Major champions Cloud9, who will attend one final event with Pujan "⁠FNS⁠" Mehta, with Richard "⁠Xizt⁠" Landström's fnatic and Liquid completing the group.

The other group, headlined by FaZe, also features G2, whose lineup for the event has not yet been revealed, and Brazilian side Luminosity.

These eight sides will square off from June 8-10 at the SSE Arena, in London, with the winner taking home the grand prize of $250,000. The tournament will begin with a GSL group stage, which will lead to the four-team playoffs.

Are you talking about how they distributed? I watched it and I'm making a comment on how it turned out. I think its crazy Astralis picked G2 to go over instead of C9. That off pick by Astralis is what messed up the distribution really. 6.5 to 17.5 but still better than what we got. It was always going to be one sided with Luminosity in the mix but just kind of shocked by how it turned out.
