horvy: "I will not play for FaZe; some things did not go my way"

Immortals member João "⁠horvy⁠" Horvath has revealed on Twitter that he will not be playing for FaZe at ESL One Belo Horizonte after all.

Earlier on Thursday, a report from ESPN Esports Brasil had claimed that the 19-year-old had been chosen to play at ESL One Belo Horizonte for FaZe, replacing Olof "⁠olofmeister⁠" Kajbjer.

The Swedish player has extended his leave of absence after announcing last month that he was back in the team, and will be replaced by Jorgen "⁠cromen⁠" Robertsen at this week's ECS Season 5 Finals.

Misfortune cost horvy his FaZe break, he claims

On Twitter, horvy hinted that talks with FaZe were going at a steady pace but ultimately fell through due to what he described as "unluckiness".

"It has nothing to do with Immortals, it was just some unluckiness, but I am used to it as part of my career," horvy wrote.

"I will be out of Twitter for some time. I will not give up, so I will keep grinding.

"Thanks for the support. Some things did not go my way, but I appreciate all the support. Maybe next time."

FaZe have not yet stated who their fifth player for ESL One Belo Horizonte will be, with the event due to start in just a week's time. The European giants have been drawn in Group A, alongside SK, Torqued and Space Soldiers.
