mousesports beat Gambit; G2 stun Na`Vi

In the second round of matches at ESL One Cologne, MOUZ defeated Gambit 16-8 on Dust2, while G2 took the victory over Natus Vincere on Inferno, 16-14.

Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski opened up the action on Dust2 with a double-kill to help his new team, MOUZ, pick up the pistol round on the CT side. The European mixture followed that up with the anti-ecos and refused to take their foot off the gas all the way to a 7-0 lead.

Snax could not ask for a better start with mousesports

Gambit picked up their first round on the back of a 1v3 clutch from Abay "HObbit" Khassenov, but MOUZ still went on to hit nine rounds. Then Nikolay "mir" Bityukov found two entry-kills to lead his team to win another round, but MOUZ' players kept stepping up to the plate with multi-kills to go up 13-2 by half-time.

The Kazakhstani squad did not want to back down and won the first two rounds of the second half before MOUZ claimed their 14th thanks to a 1v2 clutch from Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný. Gambit kept trying to turn things around, but there was little they could do to stop mouz from finishing off the map, 16-8.

Meanwhile, Natus Vincere also got off to a flying start against G2 on Inferno. Playing as Terrorists, the Ukrainians kept breaking through the defence without much effort to go up 7-0. The Frenchmen then seemed set to bag their first round, but Denis "electroNic" Sharipov denied that with an ace that included a 1v2 clutch.

G2 still lost another round, 0-9, before they were finally able to get on the board. From that moment, Kévin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans's men looked like a brighter side and conceded just one more round to reduce the deficit to 5-10.

SmithZz led the way for his team

G2 came from half-time eager to turn things around, losing a single round of a total of six to soften the deficit. Despite Natus Vincere responding with their 12th round, G2 did not let them follow that up and strung three rounds together to secure a 13-12 scoreline taking the lead for the first time.

Natus Vincere won the next round, but G2 took the lead again thanks to a successful 2v3 situation from Edouard "SmithZz" Dubourdeaux and Richard "shox" Papillon. Although the Ukrainians restored parity once again, 14-14, it was all in vain for them as G2 remained calm and collected to lock down the map in the next two rounds.

Europe Never get tired Oh yeah it is much better than it was with NBK & mixwell. So many T rounds taken, so brilliant strats, so many smart flashes and smokes thrown! G2 placed 7-8th at NBK's second LAN event and you called it a disappointment, I'm laughing while waiting a BETTER result from G2 at ESL One Cologne, good luck to all the NBK haters xD No, G2 doesn't need more fraggers, having shox & kennyS is enough. Enjoy it, my dear kennyS & shox fanboys ;-) What? G2 needs time? Did you give NBK enough time? He qualified for this tournament and Ocelote didn't even allow him to attend it, and you loved it a lot. tl;dr T side mirage: 1-14, Ex6TenZ 2-15, SmithZz 4-15. Europe Never get tired As expected, G2 has no enough heavyhitters. SmithZz may be a smart guy, but having him in same team with Ex6 and bodyy has no excuse and no good outcome. bodyy may be a pretty decent all-arounder, but having him means SmithZz should be much better than he actually is at fragging, otherwise they will get raped by any good enough team, e.g. Astralis. Ex6 might be a decent tactician, but it's not hard to overstrat a FaZe, still without enough firepower strats mean nothing. And having him along with SmithZz and shox, both of whom regard themselves good callers and thus try to impose their views on Ex6 will likely make G2 a mess in which 3 guys try to call and someone will get mad that it doesn't work, just like it always happens to shox' teams, in the end they will kick Ex6, because shox loves SmithZz too much. SmithZz, bodyy, Ex6TenZ 1-by-1 are not the biggest problems, them combined in the same team is the biggest problem. On the other hand, FaZe is also a mess whose style is "we have madfraggers, they will do the job, otherwise we will lose to fucking NRG". It's sad that Astralis has no real contender, it's even worse than it was in 2012 with NiP dominating.

this is simply a reply I copied from a user called "Never get tired". He trashed on g2 in ecs 2018 after G2 lost to NRG. I am simply showing how ignorant he is and how subjectively self-delusional and self-righteous he is. And Never_Stfu : I knew you were going to write you trashy "analysis" on G2 After they lost but the you can't do so because things did not went the way you think. Sad. I knew you read this please keep hiding and be a pussy.
