Vince Hill retires from casting 'indefinitely'

Vince "⁠Vince⁠" Hill will no longer be traveling from his home in the UK to commentate events, the 32-year old caster has revealed.

In an emotional Youtube video, Hill announced his 'indefinite' retirement, citing a string of issues with his health, his dreams for the future and the 'politics' of being a talent in the CS scene as reasons to 'hang up the mic'.

Mainly focusing on the amount of traveling that's required of top-tier talent, Hill pointed out that his health is not up to par, specifically mentioning his heart and blood pressure problems.

In the video, the 32-year-old pointed to what he called 'politics' in the talent scene, and that his personality demands that he stay away from 'drama', ultimately realising that it was best to withdraw from it completely.

The British caster has become increasingly popular among viewers in recent years, as he was invited to increasingly bigger events. Fans of his often highlight his voice and ability to follow and match the dynamics of a round when casting.

Hill recently saw top tier action at DreamHack Masters Stockholm, casting alongside Henry "⁠HenryG⁠" Greer. He revealed in the Youtube video that he was 'coughing up blood' after straining his voice in the grand final of the event.

Hill went on to point out that he wants to retire at his best, that he knew 'things are about to get worse' and that he would 'become a worse version' of himself if he was to continue doing events.

The 32-year-old noted that he will be streaming and is interested in casting online CS from home if any tournament organisers would let him.

Will miss him, but he is great as astreamer too!

That is entertainment? Hes saying that he really didnt expect them to get to playoffs and that if they did he'd have to do something crazy. Not only does it build hype for the matches but it provides viewers something to look at afterwards, if I recall correctly he ended up doing a spicy food challenge.

Yeah that sentence makes no sense, that's why I asked for clarification because English obviously isnt your first language. If anything that sentence applies more to you than me because you clearly dont understand building hype or hyperbole. Yeah he could have. But that comment is much more bland then hedging a minor bet against them. Honestly man why are you respondig to these idiots? Every single caster pretty much does this, Hell some do it way more aggressive than this; this sin’t really aggressive. I found it funny as Hell. I never really watched Mr. Hill, but I do wish him the best in his future and to his health. Personally I love Machine the most, but I rarely see him anymore. He was once known as "metuz" and is jokingly referred to as "Budget Anders" if that rings any bells. This is why more people need to start working out and eating right. Fuck all these plus size idiots who try to promote being overweight as a good thing. Being overweight affects your bones, joints, all your major organs and gives you numerous health conditions, not to mention it costs countries health care billions a year (NHS in UK is a big mess right now). Vince is a top caster but he needs to take care of himself over worrying about casting.

Lul admins delete comments when point fingers on the reason his health is so bad that he cant do any sort of flight: He is way too fat and that since ages. Especially Visceral fat is fucking your health condition. If he ever tried losing at least 30 kg, he could travel everywhere he wants.
