qz to stand in for TYLOO at WESG

Quanqing "⁠qz⁠" Wu will fill the vacant spot in TYLOO's lineup for the WESG 2018 China Regional Finals, the organisation has revealed.

In a Weibo post, TYLOO have announced the addition of qz for the team's upcoming qualifier games for WESG 2018 set to take place in Suzhou, China from October 1-3.

The squad was missing a member after Lei "⁠bottle⁠" Mao - according to multiple sources - decided to play with CyberZen after stepping in for them at the eXTREMESLAND 2018 China Regional Finals.

The team cannot use the hard-hitting duo Hansel "⁠BnTeT⁠" Ferdinand and Kevin "⁠xccurate⁠" Susanto, since they are Indonesian and therefore fall to WESG's single-nationality restriction rule.

qz' VAC-ban infamously disqualified TYLOO from the Asia Minor in February 2016

qz played for the Chinese side until early 2016, where it was discovered that the then 25-year-old had a VAC-ban on an older account, issued in 2013.

With only hours to go before the team's opening match in the Asia Minor leading into the offline qualifier for MLG Columbus 2016, TYLOO were disqualified due to the ban. The team stated back then that everyone was aware of it, but that they did not know it was grounds for disqualification.

TYLOO make no mention of the controversy surrounding qz's ban or the team's disqualification from the 2016 Minor in their original Weibo post, as the 27-year-old joins his brother Hui "⁠DD⁠" Wu in the roster.

he is still decent in 5e pro league. 5e is like esea or faceit in china. he still has the ability to compete with most pros in china, i mean if u have the same rating like other pros and u can be selected when the system is making a match against other pros. u r good enough to play wesg.

if he didn't cheat, why not prove himself is innocent, he can provide the order record if he bought from taobao, and he can show the account status if he lent it to others(some email comfirms). make such a excuse to let other ppl to believe? this is not communist community.

maybe because Valve policy states you are responsible for your account, and if lending your account causes you to get banned because someone who used it cheated, you still take the blame. (see: "halp volvo my brother cheeted" shitposts) I don't remember, but I think that would be a reasonable policy to have. Something like that is going to be a challenge to repeal, if it's the truth.

In fact, it's really hard to get an acc in early csgo time in China(net wall you may know and also too expensive for Chinese pros), many pros bought acc on Taobao (Something like ebay) and it's not personal, you just have the right to play in an arranged time, it's pretty sure that another user of this acc hack in the game. But anyway, it's all his fault

For those who are curious, qz's justification about his VAC ban is that, in 2013, he attended an event with a shared account, and did not use it anymore after the event. One week after the event he noticed that this account (which used by qz to attend event and thus considered related to him) received VAC ban (due to other co-users) and he has never cheated. It sounds hilarious because nowaday, of course no pros dare to use a shared account to participate in an event. However, consider that in 2013, the CSGO pro scene is still immature, and things are even more informal and irregulated in China, his justification sounds reasonable. For my opinion, I tend to think that qz and TYLOO paid for the ignorance of them, and qz is the victim of the chaotic Chinese CSGO pro scene. Edit: Added a blank line between two paras
