Hobbit to attend StarSeries with Gambit

Abay "⁠HObbit⁠" Khassenov will be Gambit's fifth player at StarSeries i-League Season 6, the CIS-based organisation have announced.

ESL One New York was supposed to be HObbit's last event under Gambit after the PGL Major Krakow champions decided to accept offers for the player, who has been on their books since 2016.

However, the "small break" between the North American event and StarSeries made the team turn to HObbit instead of choosing a stand-in for the event, according to a Twitter post from the Eastern European organisation.

Hobbit will play at least one more event with Gambit

Gambit exceeded expectations in New York as they came through a group that also featured MOUZ, Natus Vincere and fnatic before meeting their demise at the hands of Liquid in the semi-finals.

The Kazakh team have been drawn with Complexity in the first round of StarSeries, which will take place from October 7-14 at the Kiev Cybersport Arena.

This means that Gambit will attend the Ukrainian event with:

Lmao I completely disagree with this. While Edward is somewhat of a weak link in NaVi on paper, I think NaVi would be much better off if Hobbit replaces flamie. NaVi seems to rely so heavily on s1mple and electronic and if they can get a better tertiary star they could easily be more consistent.

They just peaked at the same time during the major, if you remember right before the major they were losing literally everything, they wanted to do changes after the major that's how bad they were, something clicked in the major for all of them, all of them played like 200% of their regular skill level and that's it, they were lucky.

they lost all games before the major (gambit always lose online games to shit teams) but weren't lose a game right in major - it means they were in good shape but they had no confident. They took confident in major games and could win the major

Well I guess nobody wants to get him (don't have the money). Let's be honest the only CIS team that can buy out Hobbit are Na'Vi and looks like Na'Vi still haven't decided to make a change. I guess Hobbit can't speak English very well, so an EU team is basically impossible.
