LDLC claim final ECS Europe spot as GODSENT miss registration deadline

LDLC have been awarded the final spot in ECS Season 6's European division after GODSENT failed to submit a line-up on time, HLTV.org has learned.

Despite closing their doors on June 22 - a week after their team had been transferred to Red Reserve - GODSENT still retained their league license, but questions remained as to whether they would field a line-up in the competition.

HLTV.org knows that a GODSENT representative expressed an interest in submitting a roster for the league, but as the deadline came to a close, a line-up had not been registered.

to1nou & co will compete in ECS Season 6

This made ECS organiser FACEIT extend an invitation to LDLC, who had finished third to North and OpTic in the Challenger Cup. The French side, who are currently ranked 36th in the world, will welcome the news with open arms after losing their spot in the ESL Pro League last season - forcing them to compete in ESEA MDL.

Maybe they were trying to find a new lineup but couldnt. Even tho imo there are pleanty of half decent swedish talents teamless +Pyth And the ex-Singularity boys

rfrsh is just trying to cut teams like godsent since it was annonunced by many orgs and valve that an org or a corp can't own 2 teams at the same time and compete at a major or a higher tier tournament so rfrsh is just trying to keep astralis

godsent is a great org

Godsent had a great org behind it. The same org also has the two teams Astralis and Heroic. Valve has decided, however, that the one org can't have two teams competing in the same tournament. That is the reason the godsent roster was sold and the team disbanded.

they try but they didnt get invited to this qualifier due to being in ny(but mibr also did that and later got a bracket moved for a few days in their favor) and they give this spot to fucking ldlc instead of navi lmao. twitter.com/navi_kane/status/10451154594..

We would also very much like to take part in the ECS tournament, but unfortunately for us there are no such concessions as for mibr. We will follow this exciting tournament as spectators.

this is pathetic lol wp to optic and north for qualifying but LDLC lost both games while navi because of busy schedule couldn’t even compete despite being the #2 in the world. This is where wild card invites come useful. also ecs giving the spot to the org is pretty stupid, not the first time a team has been fucked over by this in ECS and in reality Red Reserve should have the spot

giving it to navi was certainly a better choice but they did deserved it as they reached 3rd place at the qualifiers, good team or bad team. I can say they're decent. Less wasted spot than VP, of course.
