Skadoodle to step down from competitive scene

Cloud9 AWPer Tyler "⁠Skadoodle⁠" Latham has stepped down from the competitive scene, the North American organisation has announced.

The 25-year-old "will be taking a break from the competitive circuit" as soon as a new fifth player is announced, Cloud9 added.

This is the second time that Skadoodle has decided to leave Cloud9's active roster this year. In March, he stepped down from the team, only to return two weeks later, after Jake "⁠Stewie2K⁠" Yip had been transferred to SK.

Skadoodle quits the competitive scene

A former member of Curse and iBUYPOWER, Skadoodle signed for Cloud9 in April 2015 and most notably helped the team to first-place finishes at the ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals and at ELEAGUE Major Boston 2018.

He was named the 20th best player in the world in 2015 but struggled to reach the same heights in the following years, averaging a 1.06 rating on LAN in 2016 and a 1.02 rating in both 2017 and 2018.

“I am taking a break from competitive CS:GO," the player wrote. "I would like to thank the fans and Cloud9 for their support these past years and I wish the CS:GO team the best of luck.”

The announcement leaves Cloud9 on the lookout for a new player ahead of their next LAN event, BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen, which will be held from November 2-3. The North American team currently sit in fifth place in the ESL Pro League, with three victories in six games, while in ECS they are currently second, with a 7-3 record.

He actually did retire. Jack would have never let Skadoodle go as his contract still runs till next year. Skadoodle has mentioned before Stewie left that he wanted to work more on school and streaming. This is him doing just that. He knows hes getting older and his gameplay is slowing down. You may see him again playing for some smaller teams, but he will never go pro again unless a huge offer is out there.

He’s the most legendary NA player by far, in 2014-2015 he was on a tear, easily the best NA player at the time. He slumped for a bit but that was largely a result of his team. In 2018 he showed up in the big moments and cloud9 would be practically irrelevant if they hadn’t had the best awper in NA for the last 4 years.

EGB betting site scandal and srilanka scamer Dear Internet Comunity today i gonna tell you my story and how i got scamed by www.egb.com stoled by a fcking srilanka cunt and ignored by justice in this world. 2 Weeks ago a guy got into my EGB account and changed all info and cashed out the money i had in it, and the rest was lost on his bets. While this egb didnt informed me of any steps that was made. NOT A SINGLE FCKING NOTIFICATION THAT CHANGES WAS MADE IN MY ACCOUNT! I knew that i lost my account after 2 hours and reported it inmediatly to EGB scamshits. Even with doing that Egb didnt make a single move and let this srilanka dog betting with my account keep losing money, cancell my cashout of 1000 dollars and also letting cashout to his bank account. The next day i wrote again to EGB and they told me that someone that wasnt me got into my account. Made bets lost alot of them and cashout the rest and that the Account is now blocked. ( BRAVO EGB! GJ! After my money was gone u blocked it!) Well anyways they told me its going to security departament where they gonna try to solve it. After 2 weeks of waiting and being rdy to help egb on all points. They told me the name of this faggot: Deshan Nadeeranga Jayalath. And later on that they cant pay me my money back and i have to demand him. I tried to find out who was this person and got his nummer from the EGB. I wrote him on whatsapp and tried to solve this on a clear way so i didnt have to demand him. Its so sad he stoled me allmost all money i had, since i am living from this. I can see him trying to rebuild his brand as a streamer like Shroud, GL. As for C9, it seems highly likely that they pick up draken, with missing an awper and already having 2 Swedes, but I hope not simply because of the fact that I don't like draken.

you can tell he REALLY hasn't wanted to play since tarik left he got his major, the team was already falling apart just a couple months later, and he wanted to retire but then stewie left, and the org made him stay he likely played bad on purpose to get kicked when his contract ended (or get his contract terminated by C9 early) his recent performance was not indicative of his performance as a player during his career one of the greatest AWPers in the history of CS:GO good luck in the future Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham!

One other thing on Skadoodle. He was never the best AWP in the world. I think you could argue however that his late round decision making was very close the best if not the best. Super clutch player. That wasn't just 2015-16 either it's something he carried his whole career. Something under-appreciated about him.
