Dallas to host next DreamHack Masters stop in May
DreamHack has announced the next Masters stop, which will take place in Dallas, Texas, on May 28 to June 2, with $250,000 in prize money on offer.
After running two European events in 2018, in Marseille and Stockholm, DreamHack Masters will return to North America for the second time after hosting the first 2017 stop in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas will play host to the $250,000 tournament, as well as to the DreamHack BYOC festival, which has moved from Austin to Dallas for 2019, during the Masters' playoffs.

DreamHack has revealed early details of the 16-team tournament. Once again, qualifiers in four regions - Europe, North America, Asia, and China - will be held to determine a portion of the attending teams, with the remainder earning direct invites.
The organizers have moved away from GSL, which has been the Masters' format since the first stop in Malmö, as instead the teams will be spread into two groups of eight, with the top three teams in each group earning spots in the playoffs.
The groups will take place on the first three days of the tournament, May 28-30, behind closed doors. The playoffs will then move on to the stage with the two quarter-finals on May 31, followed by the semis on June 1, and the grand final on June 2.
