cs_summit day 3 - OpTic send compLexity packing in LA

Four more games will be played today at cs_summit—two lower-bracket semi-finals and the upper and lower bracket finals—, after which we will know the top four for the event.

cs_summit 3 is a $150,000, eight-team tournament held at the Summit House in Los Angeles. The event employs a double-elimination BO3 bracket and takes places over four days.

OpTic will play BIG in the consolidation final

So far, we've seen both BIG and NRG live up to the status of favorites, grabbing two wins and advancing to the upper-bracket final. On the other side of the spectrum, Kinguin was eliminated after two 2-0 losses, to HEROIC and Ghost. The other team to be eliminated yesterday was G2, as the French team boasting some big names lost to BIG in their opener and failed to close out the match against Complexity, losing 2-1 after two overtime losses.

For additional information about what happened so far, check out our post from yesterday.

Today, we will see Ghost and OpTic fight for their tournament lives in one match, with HEROIC and Complexity being next in line to do the same. The biggest game of the day is the upper-bracket final between NRG and BIG, with the day concluding with the lower-bracket final.

Today's schedule looks as follows:

17:00 Canada Ghost - Denmark OpTic (LB semi-final)
20:00 Denmark HEROIC - North America Complexity (LB semi-final)
23:00 Germany BIG - United States NRG (UB final)
02:00 Denmark OpTic - North America Complexity (LB final)

Stay tuned for live updates from cs_summit 3.

Of course it was. Optic is a much better team than Complexity for one. Secondly, Optic has won the majority of the times that the two have played. Why would you ever expect the worse team who trends to lose to win? No logic in that.

The favourite of any game usually wins (that is why they call it 'the favourite'). Doesn't mean that they win every time (they call that 'an upset') but when they do, then that was indeed EXPECTED.

Complexity is a tier 1 team. They won legend spot at the major. Although i do not understand why on major you try hard and on 125 000 event you are just run and gun like bots

They got to legends, on the hardest tournament that can possibly be in this game. They are legends. I am not fan of any team - but i am stating a fact.
