ZywOo shines as Vitality beat compLexity in DH Atlanta semi-finals

Vitality have booked their spot in the DreamHack Open Atlanta grand final after beating Complexity 2-1 (12-16 on Dust2, 16-6 on Train and 16-8 on Nuke).

The second semi-final of the tournament kicked off on Dust2, where Vincent "⁠Happy⁠" Schopenhauer's triple-kill in the first pistol set his team up for a great start on the CT side. Complexity responded with two strong executions, leaving the Frenchmen seemingly disoriented on their own map pick.

Despite their opponents calling two tactical pauses in the process, Complexity went on a massive run, losing just two rounds before bagging a 9-6 lead by half-time.

Nathan "⁠NBK-⁠" Schmitt's men responded by winning their Terrorist pistol and an anti-eco, but Complexity remained in charge and strung four rounds together to go up 13-8. Mathieu "⁠ZywOo⁠" Herbaut and Dan "⁠apEX⁠" Madesclaire then clutched a 2v4 post-plant situation, but the North Americans hit map-point fairly easy, eventually closing out the map at 16-12.

NBK-'s Vitality came from behind to beat compLexity

Vitality got off to a flying start on their opponents' map pick, Train, winning six rounds in a row as CTs. Complexity then finally got on the board, but the French squad were far too hot for Complexity to handle and went on bag a 14-1 half-time score, in part thanks to ZywOo leading the way with 27 kills. The North American side still tried to respond, but Vitality wrapped things up with a 16-6 scoreline.

Starting out as CTs on the decider, Nuke, Complexity strolled to a 5-1 lead with a tight defence. With ZywOo leading the charge once again,Vitality reduced the deficit to a single round, forcing Peter "⁠stanislaw⁠" Jarguz to call a pause.

Vitality still lost the next round, but they did not back down and kept breaking through Complexity's defence to eventually make it 8-7 before switching sides.

After picking up their fifth pistol of the series and the following anti-eco, Vitality lost the third round in a 3v2 situation as Jaccob "⁠yay⁠" Whiteaker secure a trio of kills. Still, NBK-'s troops did not let their opponents take control of the game and constantly shut down Complexity to seal the deal at 16-8, with ZywOo topping the scoreboard with 31 kills.

This team is good right now against tier 2, but eventually they need to make the cruel cut and step their lineup up by adding kennyS. ZywOo with a rifle is better than Happy with a rifle, and kennyS AWPing is just ZywOo but with experience

Problem is ZywOo and kennyS both very good AWPers so who is 1st and who is 2nd and will they accept that ? 2nd problem is NBK/apEX with shox. They got benched because of him so idk if they would accept him in their team (btw apEX said in a streamthathe didnt wanted to play again with Happy but it is happening...) Thoughts ?

Team is good as is, look at them exchanging glances, they want to win!

Too fast telling them good team. Did they do good under pressure ? Versus top 15-10 teams (they won CompLexity but only one top 15 team) not skills of players do them great team. They have all the things to be top 10 or even top 5.

I disagree. Happy is not what’s needed right now in French cs, they need to move on from the past and welcome in new talent with disciplined IGLs like NBK, Happys role in vitality as it is could easily be filled to greater efficiency by someone like shox, RpK or ZywOo, he needs to take a step back from the fr scene and start fresh somewhere else like how kioShiMa has done

Maybe he'd be good in another team. But in this team, it's close to 100% ; team was down on first map --> Happy went +30 kills. so he'll be there if teammates are having bad times ; he was like always second/top fragging in his top form.

Well, to answer the first question, ZywOo isn’t even a primary AWPer, he’s been put into that role by the french teams he’s been in because he’s just better at it than everyone else. A bit like S1mple in Na’Vi. So kennyS is the primary AWPer and ZywOo is your star Rifler and secondary AWPer. Next is NBK/apEX vs shox. I recognise that the likelihood of shox wanting to play with them again or vice verse is very small right now, but I think the french scene is finally starting to mature now and stop letting egos get in the way of winning. NBK is playing with Happy again; shox is finally accepting that SmithZz is not good enough to play at tier 1; and also the fact that if kennyS joins vitality then where does shox go? There aren’t any other good french teams. If shox can’t accept that he has to play NBK’s style to win, just let him go play with LDLC or 3DMAX or something and let RpK stay, easily a top 3 team either way

LDLC has to stay like they are. They are good atm so dont break that. I thought ZywOo was AWPer so problem solved. But for the NBK/apEX-shox problem, shox wants to play with SmithZz only, and kennyS follows shox. So its dead atm. And if they win DH right now changes would not be for today so maybe the "drama" (if we can call it like that) can be ended.

NBK is a toxic shit Bodyy is, right now, one of the best support in CS:GO so for me in your team is one mistake : - NBK + Bodyy After this change this team will be a real The best French Team in History Btw I have one more change but Idk that can be good or bad for this "SuperFernchTeam" It's : - Apex + Scream It's all I wanna say

NBK isn't toxic, he has been the most disciplined French players for quite a long time. Body is inconsistent and honestly stepped down a lot this year. And ScreaM instead of ApeX? That's a sure no for me.
