StarSeries reveals first Season 7 invites

StarLadder has unveiled the first six invites for the upcoming StarSeries i-League Season 7 event.

Liquid, MIBR, MOUZ, Ninjas in Pyjamas, NRG and TYLOO have all accepted invitations to compete at the tournament, joining Wild, who secured their spot after winning GAMECON Brasília 2018.

It is little surprise to see some big-name teams, two of which currently in the top five in the world, confirmed for the event after StarLadder revealed a $500,000 prize fund - a rise of $200,000 compared to previous StarSeries stops.

NRG, MOUZ and TYLOO were all in action at the most recent StarSeries event, with the North American side reaching the semi-finals of the tournament, while the other two teams bowed out of the competition in the Swiss stage.

StarSeries i-League Season 7 will take place from March 30 through April 7 in Shanghai. There are now just six invites left to reveal, with the final three spots in the tournament being determined by online qualifiers that will be held in Europe, North America and Asia.

They are perhaps overrated by some, but they are still top 7 team. Name teams that are better? top 7 is def Astralis, navi, TL, faze, mousesports, mibr +2 teams. Vitality have NRG North etc that are better.

I would never put Astralis in the same group as others at the moment... Tier 1 = Astralis Tier 1.5 (or 2) = Liquid, Navi, Faze and even mouz or mibr = teams with good line ups that are not as consistent as Astralis atm. Tier 2 = teams on top15

lol? You never heard of them? PKL played for Luminosity from 2016-2018 tatazin played a few months on Tempo Storm and a short period on Virtue Gaming. Destinyy played with Luminosity for like a year back in 2017, Then Tempo Storm and then Luminosity again, and if i remember correctly he was in Virtue Gaming for like... 5 isch, maybe 6 months before joining Team Wild. land1n is the more "unknown" player out of them all, he played a short period on Pain Gaming & Tempo Storm before joining a random team for a few months, then sign with Virtue Gaming for a few months and then sign with Team Wild. KHTEX is more known for his time in Shark Esports & Virtue Gaming id say, but now he plays with Team Wild.
