The year in photos: 2018

We have compiled our photographers' favourite images taken at CS:GO events around the world to revisit some of 2018's memorable moments.

As the year winds down, we revisit some of the biggest moments and most iconic images made by our photographers, from Cloud9 becoming the first North American team to win a Major, to Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev's rise as one of the world's most impactful players, or Astralis becoming the most dominant team of the year. Here are the images our photographers selected to tell some of the stories of 2018:

thats why they were able to stay in top. look at astralis,navi or liquid. they all had stable year since april.all others teams who has changes in roster or had standins was not stable.

The photos here are somewhat representation of stuff that happened during the year or was a larger theme during the year. Not much positive happened with NIP to be honest. gtr's pic is actually a decent representation of NIP's year I think.

cs_summit was same than cac, all the teams were trash. If they give an MVP, it means they consider the tournament relevant (even if it really wasn't in this case) so they should count all of the HLTV MVPs. For the tournaments they ignore they just don't give HLTV MVPs.
