Vitality have announced that Vincent "⁠Happy⁠" Schopenhauer has been put on the bench amid speculations of Alex "⁠ALEX⁠" McMeekin joining the team.

Happy being removed from Vitality's starting five was reported earlier today by VPEsports, while ALEX is said to be the player in the French squad's crosshairs to fill the empty spot.

Despite a debut season that saw Vitality win their first LAN, DreamHack Open Atlanta, and qualify for the upcoming Europe Minor, the change comes just days after the French team lost a three-map series to Spirit in the StarSeries i-League Season 7 Europe Qualifier final, and will mark the second roster change after Philippe "⁠faculty⁠" Rodier was relieved of his coaching duties in November.

Happy has been removed from Vitality's starting lineup

The reported replacement, ALEX, would join Vitality shortly after achieving his best result as a player, finishing 5-6th at IEM Chicago, where he and his LDLC beat the likes of North and NRG during their quarter-final run.

With Happy being put on the bench, Vitality is currently:

If they think a replacement of Happy would improve them then all other players should more worthy than Happy. And this is questionable. NBK is IGL a Job Happy could also do. All that they archived was cuz of Zywoo single work. Nobody else in the team had any great impact on the matches. All of them did just the average job they needed to do. All above was Zywoos work. So a replacement of happy doesn't change that.

In a team you need Max 1-2 stars , not 5 stars for make a superteam bitch. RPK is doing his job decently i'm sure he can be better vs t1 teams , apEX and zywoo are the stars (1.44 rating and 1.20 rating) , NBK is IGL and have a good rating while he is IGL. So -Happy +ALEX is the perfect move , becaude NBK need a guy to help him to call , and alex is very impactful player
