Relyks confirms eUnited benching, Ace departs

Skyler "⁠Relyks⁠" Weaver has been benched by eUnited, the North American player has confirmed.

In a Twitlonger post, the 23-year-old shed light on the abundance of changes in recent months leading up to the team's decision to remove him from the starting lineup to make way for Will "⁠dazzLe⁠" Loafman.

After the initial signing of Pujan "⁠FNS⁠" Mehta, Relyks stepped down as the IGL to become the primary AWPer, but the signing of Austin "⁠Cooper⁠" Abadir forced him to take up the role as entry fragger.

Relyks believes things could have fallen into place with more time in his new roles

Relyks' last appearance for eUnited came in the North American qualifier for the Americas Minor, helping the team to book a spot at the event in Katowice. It was after a pre-holiday bootcamp in Los Angeles, while on a break, that the player was informed that the team would be giving dazzLe another shot in the starting lineup.

"I just don't think there was a reasonable time given in either iteration of the roles to even see close to where we'd be after building chemistry and waiting for things to fall into place," he wrote.

Meanwhile, Brandon "⁠Ace⁠" Winn announced on Twitter that he is no longer tied to the North American organization and is "available to pursue other options".

The 23-year-old donned the red, white, and blue threads between March and October before being loaned out to Swole Patrol in the aftermath of the Cooper- acquisition.

With the changes, eUnited currently have:

qualifying for lans in europe is borderline impossible because of the overabundance of great teams and although the americas have improved immensely in the past 2 years, there aren't actually too many free agents in america who've proven that they can compete internationally. i can see why there aren't a lot of new orgs picking up free agents rn.
