Yassine "⁠Subroza⁠" Taoufik will represent eUnited in the first North American open qualifier for IEM Sydney.

The Canadian player has been added to eUnited's ESEA roster in time for the qualifier, which will see the top two sides advance to a closed stage.

The news comes as no surprise, as on Tuesday evening in-game leader Pujan "⁠FNS⁠" Mehta parted ways with the organisation following a disappointing run at the Americas Minor in Katowice, where the team were eliminated from the race for a Major spot after losing to Brazilian duo FURIA and TeamOne.

Subroza will assist eUnited in the NA open qualifier for IEM Sydney 2019

According to Dust2.us, Austin "⁠Cooper⁠" Abadir will likely be the in-game leader in the qualifier, but it is unclear at this point whether he will be given the role permanently.

Currently without a squad, Subroza spent nearly a year with Ghost before being replaced by Ryan "⁠freakazoid⁠" Abadir, in December. During this time, the team competed at three Big Events, ESL One Belo Horizonte, DreamHack Masters Stockholm and the ESL Pro League Season 8 Finals, and had top-four finishes at the ZOTAC Cup Masters and DreamHack Open Atlanta.

With the addition of Subroza, eUnited will field the following roster over the course of the first North America open qualifier for IEM Sydney 2019:

They didn't do well in the minor, they flunked out with their 5th and clearly they have problems. I don't believe in a team with 5 players, who haven't achieved anything in CS:GO should be reported on regardless of whether you believe they are "upcoming talents". HLTV does this often including female teams, it's not new.

I understand that opinion completely. But I think news about teams we know about and have seen but aren't very good is better than no news at all, that's just my opinion.

How Subroza still haven't gotten atleast suspended during investigation until proven innocent is beyond.. anything. I remember back in the days before CS:GO when people had balls. If an admin even saw something sketchy during the match he would go check the PC immediately. This happened all the time. He would have the balls to pause the match just from watching 1 round without any proof. It would delay the match a bit and alot of times it was unjustified. But the admin was the shotcaller. He was the referee. CS:GO atm technicly doesn't have any referees. It's the players who dictate the rules themselves. We see pro players whine about pretty much anything nowadays. This were in the days when a "clan" had like 10 members. Investigate the player. Suspend him during investigation. Let organisations field a 6th player during investigation. Create a friggin bench for other players you can utilize. It's not only the valve dev team who needs to develope the game. It's us players and organisations too.
