Match-ups for New Legends Stage Round 2 determined

Following the conclusion of the initial batch of Swiss matches, the pairings for the second round of the New Legends stage have been determined.

Headlining the 1-0 pool of Swiss round two are the current #1 and #2 in the world, Astralis and Liquid, set to take on American and Swedish opposition in Cloud9/Ninjas in Pyjamas, respectively. As for the remaining two 1-0 pool match-ups, CIS’ hope, Natus Vincere, will attempt to further their position at the expense of Vitality, while FaZe will take on the boys from down under, Renegades.

In the 0-1 pool resides the legendary roster of MIBR, who will be looking to redeem themselves after a disastrous 3-16 series on Inferno against their American neighbours, Cloud9. In their second round match-up, the Brazilian squad will be facing another North American side, Complexity, in hopes to achieve a 1-1 record to kick-start their campaign.

The second round match-ups were determined via an ELO rating system, introduced by ESL for the IEM Katowice Major. Following the conclusion of each round of Swiss, the teams’ ratings are adjusted, with the winners taking a portion of the losers’ points.
